What is "Continuous press manufacturing method" ?

"Continuous press manufacturing method" is a unique fabricating process which enables to produce high quality PVC plate by combining the advantages of both conventional "Calender press" and "Extrusion" manufacturing methods as follows.

Suppress "Gloss fading" phenomena at the time of welding.

Since the plate is made by continuous pressing of smooth molten sheet for long time at high temperature, the distortion and gloss fading are kept low.

It is possible to keep beautiful appearance during the welding or heat treatment.

Suppresses the clouding and hazing which prone to occur during the heat processing of transparent plate.

"Bending", "Vacuum forming" and "Press forming" can be done without spoiling its appearance.

As it is made by heating and cooling of molten sheet while fixing between two continuous polished belts, the fluctuation of plate thickness can be kept low in comparison to the conventional calendar-press process.

Anti-static characteristic of plate is almost the same regardless of the resin comprised in the base material but all other characteristics depend on the base material. In the table above, the relative evaluation results of our own determination of various properties of anti-static plates are shown. Since the values may differ depending upon the fabrication method, use conditions and environment, please confirm the use conditions, etc. before-hand.

加工上の注意：Fabricating Notes

曲げた部分の外観を損ねますので、加熱成形には適しておりません。一般のポリカーボネート板と同様

の接着を行う際は、表層の制電層を削り落としてください。

The appearance of bent portion is rather poor, heat forming is not recommendable. When adhesion, as with general polycarbonate plates is required, the antistatic layer on the top surface must be shaved off.

101HTシリーズの溶接前仮止めとして接着剤を使用した後に溶接しますと、残留溶剤によってソルベントクラック

を起こす場合がありますので、接着剤の使用は避けてください。溶接部への溶剤（接着剤）仕上げも同様に、ソルベン

トクラックを起こす場合がありますので、行わないでください。

When using adhesives for temporary fixing befor welding of 101HT series, solvent might cause crack in 101HT series, which is called "solvent crack". Please do not use solvent for temporary fixing and polishing the welded parts in order to avoid "solvent crack".

Because of its excellent chemical and heat resistance, industrial polypropylene sheets can be utilized for the applications where PVC plate can't be used.
